Orthodontic treatment creates a better bite and decreases the risk of future dental problems.A malocclusion can cause abnormal enamel wear, difficulty in chewing or speaking, and excess stress on supporting bone and gum.
Without treatment many problems become worse.

What are the objectives of Orthodontic Treatment?

The generally accepted objectives of orthodontic treatment include:

  • a correct dental occlusion
  • a proper function of the temporomandibular joints and a relaxed musculature
  • the health of the periodontium (the tissues that support the teeth)
  • the best possible esthetics

Why select an orthodontist?
